1) TopCat (H)(S)
2) Johntony +4 (O)(S)
3) Seb + 1
4) Mustang +1 (O)
5) Aido C (O)(S)(H)
6) Chris (O)(S)
7) optical (H)
8 ) Threediamonds+1 (0) (H)

Well looking at the list, its only 3 for surfing, and Chris is provisional, so I don't image the rest of you will be that bothered about watching me and Aido surfing. So on that basis, I think we'll have to put the surf on hold?

I'm gonna suggest we meet in Limerick about 3 (will figure out an exact location tomorrow). Will let the Dub crew work back from this time and arrange the convoy from there. Giving ourselves a 30mins/1hour to meet up, catch, we can then hit the road and I'll try and map out a scenic route along the coast to Lahinch (locals who have suggestions, please make them known), with a few stops on the way for photos etc.
I'd be aiming to get to lahinch for 7ish, and we can check in to the hotel. We can have stroll along the beach, or just head straight for a bite to eat. Then a pub crawl, and back to Laura's room for Tesco beer. :D
I think its a bit of a shame to loose the surfing, but the numbers just don't add up, and sure if we can find a pub facing the sea we have have a pint and look at the surfers. If there are activites that people want to suggest, please feel free.

Bernard +1, you gonna put your name down? Colm, CJ, Martin... go on, you know you want to.. :smt004

There are some great spots this side of the country for photos Seb, and we have plenty of time for a spin, so should hit a few. Could even make a trip to Craggy Island.

I'm gonna plow on with the overnighter because 1) there are still a few people coming a distance and I'd like to give them the option breaking up the long drive. 2) I'm still hopeful for a couple more names. 3) I would like to have a few drinks.

Tom, will you text me locations for Sat etc as I have little net access.

Pity ye're all not surfing, I was looking forward to laughing at your cold weiners when you came out of the sea

This drop out in numbers always breaks my heart coming nearer to the time, but I've come to expect it at this stage. Pity is all, it's not often we all meet up for a drink.

What time and location are we meeting up on saturday? What's on the cards for the non-surfers etc.
What time are the surf lessons arranged for?

Surfing is off Mustang I'm afraid (see previous posts). Gonna make the trip from Limerick to Lahinch a bit of a road trip instead, take a scenic route. You're local enough so any suggestions will be welcome. :) (BTW, are you staying in the hotel? Need to confirm numbers)

MEET UP DETAILS

Meet up time is 3 o'clock, at Tesco at the Coonagh Roundabout, Ennis road. GPS co-ord's are
52°40'32.29"N
8°40'27.89"W
(Can some one please plug this into their SatNav beforehand just to confirm it works?)
Big car park and the right side of town, so will save us trying to bring a convoy through Limerick.

Sorry I must have missed the bit about the surfing
Count me (plus one)in for the hotel. As for a road trip I'd suggest a coastal drive (I know it'snot that long ago since we did it the last time, but not sure how many of the same people are attending, very few I think).
Note sure what the weather is going to be like either....
I'd be inclined to go for either of these two routes.
Ennis, Corofin, Ballyvaughan, along the coast road to Lisdoonvarna, then along the coast road again to Lisacannor, then on to Lahinch. (Secondary roads mostly, but nearer the coast)
Alternatively
Ennis, Kilkee, Kilrush, Doonbeg, Quilty, Spanish point, Miltown Malbay, Lahinch. (These roads are probably a bit better, but further from teh coast for the most part)

Dublin guys, any idea where we are gonna meet up on Saturday? We'd wanna be hitting the road about 12. Limerick is about a 3 hour drive I think. Meeting at about 11.45 is probably a good time. What you think?

Thanks for the suggestions Mustang, both routes look very nice, and according to google maps are just over 2 hours direct, so with photos, toilet breaks, etc, that'll be perfect. We can decide on the day anyway which route to take, given timing/weather etc.

Any of you who don't have my mobile, please feel free to drop me a PM and I'll pass it on.

(EDIT:) Here are the pics..

Kilkee Route (~2hr 20m)

Corofin Route (~2hr 5m)
