I paid my mechanic €200 to fit the one i got from Camskill. I would expect something in this ballpark if not a little more expensive - it will take a few hours to do.

so definitely less than 500??

the car was to be picked up tonight, by the prospective new owner, drove it to work this morning and the clutch started to give way, revving when you put the foot down, so couldn't obviously sell it to someone in that condition

Well definetly less to fit the clutch - not of course including the purchase price of clutch. Though the camskill ones are good value.

I was charged 500 as far as I remember ..but I was ripped off..

Pay no more than 300 - it's not a difficult or timeconsuming job - and the clutch layout on the FTO doesn't differ to most other normal cars - so if you mechanic tell you otherwise go elsewhere.

yeah the blue one, a guy saw it tuesday and wanted to take it tonight, washed it this morning, and drove it up, and the clutch went on the way up, it didn't completely go but it's just about to!!

That's unfortunate Dave. Let us know how much the labour is, think this job is pending on my car.. Were you happy enough with the sale price of the car?
New one lined up yet?

yeah got what i wanted for it, but i wasn't expecting to take this hit on it to be honest, it's not been a very lucky car for me and any doubts of getting rid have now well and truely be squashed, it's just one of those cars for me i reckon!!
nothing lined up yet, but i reckon i may be talking to MyF350Z
