Exhaust Flexi needed

Postby waynebowden » Sat Feb 22, 2014 11:30 pm

Hey Guys,

Finally seeing some light at the pre NCT tunnel and hit a snag.

While on the lift today I got a blow in the flexi pipe between the cat and the manifold.

Its a tiny flex maybe 30cm in length but I cant get one in the locality.

So that brings me here

Looking for a replacement flexi as mentioned and also a flexi to cover the Cat as its on the way out also.

Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

NCT is first thing Tuesday morning so time aint on my side

Thanks guys

I know thats not what U want to hear but best if You run it trough the NCT, let it fail (she might still pass!) and then put some money together to buy this:

or this:

Should last longer while.
Best i can come up with considering Your Nct is on tuesday morning.

Is there no way to replace the existing Flexi?

Its just a small blow you have to look really close and be very attentive to even notice.

Its the emissions test I think will throw a spanner as some gasses are escaping pre cat.

Switching out the down pipe seems a little extreme or are they prone to blows?

Im afraid thats one of the weakest points of our cars.

U can get the flexi weld in as long as U'll get it anywhere and U will find decent exhaust shop not a butcher that dont even know what type welder he need to aproach to deal with it lol.

Buy a new one - secondhand will fail again and repair won't be worth it.

I had one of these shipped to me here in Ireland via ParcelMotel in order to minimise courier costs.
