how to dismantle a sunroof ?

any guides on how to take the sliding parts out ?

you don't have a sunroof do you?


I'll take a look if you want, dismantled the sunroof in a few Fiats I had. FTO one should be easy enough as it slides outside the car. it's probably riveted together, so not much dismantling involved.

Its actually very easy - Once you pull the sunroof back its clear that theres only a few hex bolts holding the frame to the roof.

The Plastic runners tend to wear - most FTO's now have rattly sunroofs because of the play in the runners.

Camskill sell all sunroof parts at a very reasonable price - Mike sent me on a sunroof diagram before with part no.s listed.

i'm interested in how to take out the 2 sliding inside bits without breaking them , the ones covered with fabric , not the whole sunroof

I think there's a clip on a spring you just pull back either side on the sliding cover, and it should fall down easily.
Yeah, have a look at the work shop manual, section 42-50 (pg 206/368), and its the "slider blocks" you need to push.
