Offered him €80 for them. €400 is VERY steep.
Currently in my collection:
'98 Toyota Starlet...
'79 Mini Clubman 1380cc ~100BHP (I hope)
'79 BMW 728

recently i was looking for a pair of perfect seats for a client and found a set in a scrappy . the guy charged 180 euro for the set while i was prepaired to pay 60-80 for them . :smt021

afaik the covers can be got (new) for around 250-300 pounds .
the fitting is time and nerve consuming and can be messy if is not done propperly

I think they are expensive as well but for someone might be what they're after .
I remember when i bought mine i was over the moon i found a set that was already fitted .

I'm expecting him to come back with a no and a counter offer. New seat covers are £150 + £18 delivery. These are second hand so I figure €100-€130 is fair.

€400 is a bit saucy for leatherette alright, and they're not even that well fitting.

I haven't seen them at that price, is that leatherette?
Ricerocket's are £275 I think, but the quality looks top notch.

The ones above look a little baggy to me, might just be the fit.

These look pretty darn good if I'm honest, and only £149

[EDIT] They're not as good looking as the £275 ones but that's to be expected.

I can't comment on the £149 seat covers as I haven't seen them in the flesh, what I can say is that the Ricerocket supplied covers are a perfect fit. Try to get some feedback on the quality and fit before you spend your money. If you're gonna take on this job, I'd be inclined to spend the extra few quid and go for the tried and tested approach, you'll kick yourself if you have to look at ill-fitting covers for the next few years...

Have to agree with CJ here, its definately worth the extra money for a good fitting set of covers. Poor fitting ones look worse the standard cloth ones IMO.
From most peoples feedback, its taking the time (and pain) to fit them properly thats really important too.

Cant vouch for the quality of the £149 ones on ebay but I got a message from a guy who bought a set (you can see who bought them from comments left by the buyers, I contacted him and asked him what he thought) and he was chuffed with them. Said he'd no problem recommending them if that helps any.
I'm not sure how much it will work out at but I'm looking into buying the ricerocket ones through a seller in Oz. They wont ship to Europe as ricerocket has the licence to sell within EU but I have a cousin living in Oz so I was going to send them to him and get him to post on to me. Its AU$230 iirc for a set with free postage within Oz, so depending on shiping to Irelan from Oz it may work out a bit cheaper doing it that way. Will have to have a chat with my cousin and see if he's up for doing a bit of running around pricing it up.
Just a heads up the guy selling for £149 is/was willing to accept a best offer on those covers. They guy I contacted got them for £120.

I'd be prepared to spend a fortune on postage Karl, I posted a box back home couple of weeks ago from NZ and it wasnt that heavy and it cost around 100 euro.

€187 (at the time) seems very cheap for leather seat options when you consider a padded arm rest was €134...
