Rear bumper removal instructions

Postby Muad_dib77 » Sun Jul 15, 2007 11:19 am

Hiya - I need to remove my rear bumper so I can sort out the bracket that sits behind it..
I've had the front off before and that was fairly straight forward - however I seem to be unable to locate the bolts for the rear - anybody with some hints?

Remove the lights and licence plate, theres bolts underneath. The bumper is also bolted in at the wheel arches, remove screws and rear wheel arch liners. Good luck!

Right - to aybody reading this.. when CJ says "good luck" - he means "GOOD LUCK!"

What a pig of a job..!

Oh and if you're going to remove your bumper - there's a hidden nut inside the trunk over the rear wheel arch..You'll find it when you think you've removed everything and the bumper still wont come off.
