central locking

when i press the central locking button the drivers door wont respond even though you can see thelock on the door tryin to move. is this a minor thing?

it's a common thing .

Happened to me on a previous car (not FTO).
I took apart the mec. and found it clogged with old hardened grease. Cleaned it and lubricated all the sliders etc with silicon grease - right as rain after.

As it tries to move give it a little help yourself - continue to do this untill it can do it on its own accord - its just a little lazy - but it will free up ok.

ta da ....fixed, jus grabbed the latch on the door and shook it left to right a couple of times and now it works

I find this happening with my passenger door as well. It normally comes right itself but will start screwing up again after a while. Must have a go at opening it.

I'm guessing wd40 will do it a world of good if you want to "treat it"..
