Advantages of the weather, starting a few little projects.

In preparation for getting the car back on the road I'm taking a few projects, and doing them myself as the weather is rather nice these days.

I'll be replacing front brakes, calipers, discs and pads. I already have stainless hoses on from last the weather was nice.
Rear discs and pads are going as well as stainless hoses on the back.

Front and Rear strutbraces going in, after gathering a significant amount of dust sitting in the attic.

Just finished changing the oil..Nice to know that It'll be proper lubricated for another while..

anybody else taking advantage of all this "non rainy" weather?

Got rear discs and red stuff from uncleB so I put them on last weekend looks nice and shiney now. Also got front calipers and 313mm discs off the GTO TT. They`re polished to high gloss so looks class. Want to put them on as well in very near future

I did so far over the last 2 months :
front disks and new pads
new front droplinks
new fuel filter
oil changed
new spark plugs with new leads
4x new tyres
spoiler side covers added

What's to be sorted by terenure :
front bumper restyling - fog lights , clear MG signal lights
wiper arms refurbed
deep clean/polish

dreams for the summer :
refurb alloys
change rear brakes
change rear suspension
+ get a few small aftermarket bits i always wanted

I just rotated my wheels.
A poxy job with just the standard jack but nice to have it done none the less.

I took the opportunity to give the wheels and arches a good clean.
With the wheels off I noticed some perished rubber though, should I be replacing these?

Tie rod ends i think make sure if you are changing them that you mark where they are positioned might throw of the steering a little if you dont replace them in the same place i could be wrong though.

During last two months I replaced blown engine, put in new timing belt kit, changed clutch, front arb, installed uprated front drop links, changed engine oil and filter, fuel filter, headlights, installed new stereo, fixed minor wiring problems, fixed driver side window (was not closing properly).
I am waiting for a parcel from Down Below with more suspension parts, so that will be next thing to uprate:)
During general overhaul of the interior I managed to break the shelf behind rear seats, so I decided that enough is enough and since nice parts are hard to find for the FTO I am also waiting for another parcel from US with crapload of carbon fibre cloth. (I just noticed there is censorship on the site:))
At the moment I am making moulds of interior parts (centre console, abovementioned shelf, parts of door panels, rocker cover, and some more of small stuff [you know my missus is on vacation and I need to do something:)]) and looking for a house with the garage so that I have place to work on my Missy.
I shall have interior sorted by October.
Next i am going to fabricate front bumper, hood and door panels and front side panels (don't remember the proper name) in VIP technology and then would be a time for general overhaul of the car including stripping everything out , sandblasting undercarriage, seam welding engine bay, stripping all old paint, installing my new carbon bodyparts, new paint and putting her back together, installing some more goodies (hel braided brakelines, hydraulic handbrake, gas coilovers, samco hoses, and short shifter set if I can find one).
All this shall keep me busy till next spring/summer if no major problems occur (touch wood). Fortunately except of painting her all the works I can manage myself, so it will be affordable (except of painting job of course).
