MfFTO 95 GPX Manual

Postby Myfeckin FTO » Sat Nov 04, 2006 8:29 pm

For sale:

My 95 GPX Manual

Timed at 0-60 at 6.48secs - 1/4 mile in 14.7 secs. Probably the quickest FTO in Ireland.

Don't really know where to start but here goes:

Imported the cars 2 years ago as a standard GPX and since then a summary of the following parts have been added:

Engine/Trans/Clutch/Exhaust :

Recent service - Aux belts changed Power Steering/Alternator/Air Con - Have recently removed the entire Air Con system to reduce weight and reduce load on the engine including the fan, condenser, belt, tensioner and all assoc pipework - ttl weight loss of approx 40kgs.

The cambelt (timing belt) has been replaced twice - most recently 1K miles ago when I also replaced the waterpump and a coolant change.
Aux belts replaced including tensioners.

Replaced the standard spark plugs with colder "Denso Iridiums" - better performance/economy and they last 60K miles to boot.

Induction: ITG Maxogen filter - recently cleaned and reoiled.

Stepper motor replaced.

Head gasket replaced

Radiator ionised blue slam panel added.

Recent oil change using fully synthethic 0W-50 motorsport oil.

Recent Clutch change (Camskill replacement).
Recent gearbox oil change.

Practically brand new Blueflame Quad exhaust - including decat (bolt on CAT also provided) - value circa 800Euros.

Turbo Timer - warm your car on those cold winter mornings - cool it down after a blast.

Suspension/brakes/wheels/tyres

Front and rear droplinks replaced - ALL bushes replaced - with poly bushes where available oncluding ARBs - increased castor poly bushes on the front and rear.

Dampers replaced with KYB dampers - Springs replaced with Apex lowering springs - circa 35% stiffer - much improved handling.

Steering arms and boots replaced.

Front and Rear strut braces.

Currently on the 2nd set of EBC Green stuff pads all round - Calipers painted blue. Recent brake fluid change.

Forged Magnesium "Work RSR" rims with new Bridgestone RE050 potenza tyres 215/45 17 - rims & tyres worth circa 700 Euros each - powder coated black.

Cosmetic

Exterior:

Top Mix front splitter
DC skirts - Moulded - expert job - Circa 2.5K Euros including respray.
Boot delocked and despoilered to give this FTO that PHATT look.
Rear and side tinted windows.
Debadged.
Clear side repeaters.
Blue front Mitsi badge, side Mivec stickers and blue rear FTO logo.

Interior

Colour-coded Isotta steering wheel, Gearknob/gaiter and handbrake.
Stainless Steel dials - light-up blue at night. Aluminium dial rings. Centre consol sprayed silver.
Pioneer sound system to include TV, Amplifier, 6 CD changer etc. Colour coded aftermarket bucket seats
Factory electric sunroof.
Drilled alloy pedals and blue "Autostyle" FTO mats.

Misc

PIAA horn (to replace the weedy standard horn).
PIAA silicon wipers replaced.
Philips bluevision foglights/dims/headlights

Probably left out LOADS of bits I can't remember at the moment - it recently flew through NCT and if you can find a better condition 95-98 FTO for sale at the moment then take their arm off.

Price - 8,450 Euros ONO - an absolute bargain when you consider the amount of money spent on this car over the past 2 years - the car needs nothing done to it mechanically.

Would love to hold onto this car - but the recent arrival of a 350Z and an upcoming wedding - means the FTO has to go.

I can be contacted on 087 2737794 or send me a PM.

Agreed. MfFTO's deep pockets combined with an FTO specific obsessive compulsive disorder, mean that this car has been lavished with TLC. Every consumable item has been replaced- exhaust, bushes, clutch, brakes, belts, etc, etc, etc.
Very tidy car that needs absolutely nothing :smt023 apart form a new home.
Best of luck with the sale I'm sure it'll be snapped up.

Good luck with the sale MfFTO. I can vouch for the fact that this car is very well sorted mod wise, no expense has been spared in terms of upkeep and maintanence. Someone is going to pick themselves up a fine FTO...

Cost of actually fitting the skirts was 1300Euros - mostly made up of the actual labour (& it was painstaking) to correctly fit and mould the skirt for a fussy B***ard like myself. The skirt was somewhere around the €350-400 mark inc shipping and the rest was made up of spraying the front bumper and entire side and back of the car to get the paint to match.
Its not even including the cost of despoilering/delocking the boot etc - fitting the top mix front splitter - these were done at other stages.

Of course you could have just stuck the DC skirts on - I got a quote of €800 to attach and paint the skirts only - but I wanted the moulded look.

Thanks Muad - JayVR already got me one from you though!
I may even stick it on the 350Z - if and when we get a "Jap Performance" section on here - we certainly have enough forum users on here now with other performance cars.

Haven't really been trying to push the sale tbh - I've been rather busy recently - will probably stick it up on cbg and/or autotrader early in the new year - It probably doesn't help much that I really don't actually want to sell her - however with a rather expensive wedding looming large in June it looks like she MAY have to go. :?

Gone to Cork - pointed Dominik in the direction of this website - hope the car stays on here.

End of an era MfFTO :(

I would assume the new owner is enthusiastic to some degree if he bought this particular GPX, its pretty well modded.

Did you start stripping down the 350 yet? ;-)
Hope you're making it to the meet really looking forward to having a looksie..

The chap gave it some holly alright as he drove off - I could hear it for about the following 5 mins - didn't actually realise it made such a racket!

Very hard to see it go though - I had put a lot of work into it.

Still I have the 350Z to console myself with and to make myself feel a little better I'm about to order an exhaust - doubt I'll have it on for the tunnel meet though.

New FTO owner Dominik.

Hmm, it looks to me like you're modding that Z to look like your old GPX, withdrawal systems methinks! (Looks 8) with those rims btw).
