FTO pics

Postby CJ » Wed Feb 02, 2005 3:54 pm

Mark Russel Hill sent me on some pics a while ago that I'd forgotten about, 2 were taken at the Phoenix Park IIRC and have got the photoshop treatment while the other two are of Markyboys monster-kitted out GR at a show in the RDS (since been sold), check em out here.

That car seems to have had a painstaking amount of work done on it. - If it was mine I'd cry every time a bird shat on it. How many hours went into the engine bay?

Fab car - but it goes to show there are limits to the modding you should do on an FTO if you are to use the car on a day-to-day basis.

i've been a bit of cruising on the uk forums and by the sounds of it, he barely drove that car, spent all his time polishing it and having it just so, that's why he sold up and got a skyline, wanted something he could drive!

beautiful FTO though! 8)

FTO

Postby markyboy.1967 » Tue Feb 15, 2005 11:18 am

Thanks guys. Yeah i drove the car only on good days but it was never driven hard in any way. I wanted to take the car as far as i could and thats what i did, sold as there was nothing else i could do without wasting the car. My main aim was to make it the cleanest FTO in the UK and the reasons beghind that was that i was at a show when first got it, lifted the bonnet and other FTO ownes commented on how dirty the engine bay was, even saying it was the dirtiest they had ever seen on an FTO.So from there on i said i wuld go through that again and eventually the car turned into a all out show car. Im led to believe that the car is back up for sale again as the new owner is moving abroad to stay...
