Caliper rattle (driver side)

Postby crayzidane » Tue Mar 03, 2009 4:17 pm

I have GPX brakes and recently its began to make a rattle noise,
took the wheel off and the caliper is loose in the bracket and rocking up and down.
The noise goes away when i use the brake.
I was just wondering if i need a new:
1)Caliper
2)Mounting Bracket
3)Both

Thanks D.

Yea bolts are tight, no sign of damage, it seems like its rattling on the two long bolts/pins

your caliper must be in be in pretty poor condition to justify replacing it and carrier, did paul give you any clue as to how this may have happened? If you dont have any luck turning up a second hand one, I think camskill carry theese also. happy hunting.
