Hi all,

At last insurnace decided to payout 7k for the twincam, delighted but there is a slioght problem im worried about,

I was living with the ex girlfriend as the folks moved to galway, we split up and i moved back to galway on paper ;-) but i didnt change the address on the logbook, the insurnace asked me to send the logbook in and now im brikking it that my claim will be invalid?? maybe if i filled out the new adress on the back of the logbook and backdated it to when i changed the insurance over? or what will i do?

thanks all

I can't see how the log book will make any odds here!
Think of it if you bought a new car in Dublin and moved to wexford. As long as you told your insurance company you were:

1) Living in wexford... and then crashed in wexford --- covered.
2) Living in Dublin .... crashed in wexford - on holiday or whatever ---- covered.

I wouldn't change the address on the back of the log book.... what does everyone else think?

Ya, I'd say leave it as it is, the last thing you want is to be seen falsifying anything, if they found a different address on the logbook as on govt records they'll get very suspicious straight away.

It can't be that unusual for someone to have their old address on their logbook and just haven't got around to updating it.

I'd say just be completely honest with them. I wouldn't go bringing it up, but if they ask then give it to them straight or they'll think you're trying to pull something.

Definately don't start changing stuff about.. It'll be fine.. I haven't heard of anybody getting their claim "vioded" cause of the addresses involved..
