Parting ways with the red rooster to make monies for a mivec
Pucka car going for little money. It's pretty much bog standard except for HIDs and the instrument cluster has had the lights behind it changed to blue. Also the map lights in the rear view mirror have been changed to alternating colour LED's. Apart from those it's completely standard, standard engine, standard suspension, standard interior and exterior.
Paint works not bad, a few scratches that have been touched up badly by the previous owner and two corners have glanced off something but it still looks good.
The interior is in mint condition with no rips or tears.
Engine has 220,000km but still pulls like a train through all gears. Doesn't smoke and hasn't needed oil or water top up since november when it was last serviced. Water pump sprung a leak last december so that was painstakingly replaced on a freezing cold weekend. Was originally an auto gearbox but has been converted to manual.
Tappets need to be done badly as they are constantly rattling away when it's cold. One of the headlights has a tiny leak in it's seal so has condensation build up permanently and the car needs to be undersealed. CV boot needs replacing on passenger side aswel, that's in the boot but not been done, obviously That's all the bad points I know of and the price reflects it.

Price reduction coming soon aswel because the heater core just gave up yesterday morning. Not arsed replacing it so will be doing the heater core cut off for the moment.
Have to look at the car and see if its worth repairing or if i'll break it.

After venturing into the dodgy heater matrix I have since discovered a tennis ball size hole under the car from rust.

Now open to offers, all offers considered.
Paint work is good on 90% of the car and interior is exceptional considering it's original.
Car has been extremely well maintained for most of it's life.

For sale to brake or repair.
Would like to brake it myself but not an option with limited space and two 4 years olds to hang out of it and paint it and hit it and etc etc...

Directly under the heater core Colm. Another tiny bit of surface rust on drivers side half way back of the car.
Theres 2 months tax left on it Goz and the tappets really need to be done, they don't stop.

I plan to clean it up and fix any problems with it. Will be getting it through the nct and will be sold to my cousin at no profit, as he has been asking after an fto for ages now. If that changes, you guys will be first to know.

it's a new plan to take over the world but I haven't quite thought it through.

It was funny when there was 3 ftos outside the garden at one stage. It's a mini meet every time i drop round to the brothers house hehe.

FTO bangernomics already makes sense - if you buy one with a valid NCT, run it for a while and then maintain or break (and sell parts) as neccessary.

True but it's a horrible thought.
Between the car itself and ferries, registration and servicing my car cost me just over 10K in 2007.
I was looking for the right one/saving for ages to get it and I said at the time I'd never sell it, that goes double now.
Most FTOs now aren't worth the cost of a year's tax and insurance.
