car cuts out when idicater stalk is used turning right

hi my gr fto has started to cut out when i indicate right or try to select reverse cant find any loose wiring . after it cuts out all dash lights wont come on butthe car will turn over no problem but never starts untill the dash lights are back on. i have a immobilizer which i have had looked at but nothing wrong whith it as far as i can tell .any help with this matter i would be very gratefull

problem sorted thanks for your advice it seems to have been a faulty immobilizer .

Disconnect your rear light clusters and see what happens

That's good advice for many cars actually. A single faulty or shorted bulb in a rear cluster can manifest itself in the strangest electrical faults that are very very difficult to diagnose.

Hello All

Im so happy ive found this post as im experiencing the same problem although my engine is not cutting out and mine is dipping while indicating left, however the question i have is what the hell is a cluster, lol.......i keep hereing this and haven't a clue as to what this is?? please help as i need this car up and running in 2 weeks
