Unbelievable !!!! Who is the actual insurer underwriting the policy or do Quinn do this themselves. Normally it's someone like Allianz, Church and General etc.

Quinn underwrite all their own policies, found out something interesting about them and their claims handling, for example if they got a claim in where their insured was at fault and there was a personal injury claim they would usually go out to the third party and offer them €5k as full and final settlement rather than going to court and paying out twice that.... and they'd do this within 2 or 3 days!!

I hear Supermacs were going to handle all insurance claims under €500k themselves as they were sick and tired of the small claims going to court and insurance companies paying out as it was cheaper for them rather than investigating it.

Pity Quinn D don't do new quotes for fto's.

If you do not already have your insurance policy with them they will not insure FTO's anymore with new clients.

And yes they will send someone out the next day to try and settle, I know from experience.

Murpheous81, welcome to the forum :)
As Rory said, QD no longer take any new FTO business, they will only continue to cover existing poliy holders. Its cheap and nasty if you ask me, QD have a bad enough rep as it is, in saying that, no other company has beaten their quotes in the two years I've been with them (if any of you have switched from QD to another insurer on that basis, let us know)

You should give Daves office a call, they may be able to help you out, the number is listed in this post.
