Fog light switch

fog light switch burnt out on me today,melted the block connector aswell,anyone know somewhere to get both???

Camskill does a rear fog light switch not sure about block connector though.

this is for the front foglight though

mivecmad, you should check the wattage of your foglight bulbs.

fuse isn't likely to be a factor here. it's a common enough problem on the FTO, it's unusual in that there's no relay for the fogs, that's the 12v feed going straight to the lights.

Might be worthwhile retrofitting a relay to feed the fogs as obviously the switch aint up to the job. Last thing you want is your pride an joy to go up in smoke :shock:

As far as I know it's only a problem if you have higher wattage bulbs.

Not true - this is a common issue with standard setup bulbs.

There are threads here that describe how to introduce a relay into the circuit which avoids this issue. I have done this myself - works a treat and no need to purchase any more expensive switches.

Had planned to relay it as I am getting hids for the fogs also but tryin to find a new switch is turning out to be quite challenging
