Wheel arch liners on facelift

Postby CJ » Thu Apr 14, 2005 7:41 pm

Does anyone know if the facelift wheel arch liners are the same part as on pre-facelift versions? I've found that mine have been eaten away since the facelift conversion (45 profile tyres don't help, mind you), the plastic screw holes in the liner don't line up with the facelift bumper.

Would have thought they'd be the same - perhaps its just the screw holes that are different - I had to rivet my wheel arches up to stop them rubbing as well - I also changed from the 40 profile to a 45 profile tyre on 17's - the ride comforts a hell of a lot better and it fills the arches to boot.

Are they worn to the point of needing replacing or will drilling some holes and a few Tie-Binds do the trick?

They're wrecked since I stuck on the facelift and will have to re replaced. They attach fine to the underneath section of the bumper, but not to the side, the bottom screw hole is miles away from the bumper. I might look at picking
up a second hand set and fix them in place - I had already screwed them up into the chassis but that wasn't enough unfortunately. Thats actually got me thinkin, mabe thats why they didn't line up in the first place.... :?

Well as you probably already know - Camskill have them on sale for 67.50GBP each (€97) - but I'm fairly sure you'd come across a couple of good condition second hand ones for half that.
