Focusing Lights

Postby sinlessgunner » Wed Jul 02, 2008 4:58 pm

Just noticed there recently that my lights don't seem to be focused very well. On a dark country road it becomes very evident. How do I go about focusing them? Can I do it myself? Also one of my HIDs is playing up. It flickers then dies but if I turn off the lights and turn them back on it stays on. It stays weak then after a while brightens up. I changed around the ballasts and I think that one is broken. Can I fix this or will I need a new ballast?

Think I need to get a new ballast myself... where'd you get yours Muad?

With regards to focusing them yourself, it's possible. You would need a flat piece of ground and a wall, with the car facing the wall, turn on the lights, and adjust appropriately with the adjusting screws.

If in doubt go lower, if its too high you'll dazzle the oncoming traffic.

I got mine adjusted a while back, that and the addition of fog lights made a world of difference.
