Postby colm_mcm » Wed Jul 02, 2008 9:46 pm

Most of the way on ordering a set of Blueflame quads from Camskill,

If you change any quantities, please your Shopping Basket
Total price of goods £399.00
*505.61 Euro (EUR)
Shipping & Handling (P&P)
( Ireland (R.O.I.) (IE) - Parts) £14.00
ORDER TOTAL £413.00
*523.35 Euro (EUR)

Is that correct, P&P only 14 pounds? I know a few of you have ordered them. can anyone confirm costs?

Excellent stuff, may as well order a timing belt kit too. Did Topcat get his quads from Camskill?

I'll be VERY surprised if they ship that for £14. The charge about £10 for small items and are normally expensive enough for shipping.

Sorry guys, been away for a few days.

Yup, got my quads from Camskill and the postage was very reasonable. I know all in was just over €500, so that sounds about right.

And got them very fast too, either 2 or 3 days (cos they had it in stock), can't remember which. Great service.

I presume the postage wasn't £14 as quoted though ?

No, £14 is about right. Just checked there, the whole lot came to €530 for me, and that was including a can of touch up paint, so that quote seems correct. I agree, it is cheap, but I wasn't going to argue! :)

Suppose I can make a start, cut the bumper on the passenger side so it's symetrical to the drivers side. and remove the old system. won't be driving the car this week anyhow.

For those that have them fitted: will the pipes go on the drivers side without touching the bumper, or will the drivers side need cutting too?

Wait cutting till you have the pipes - better safe than having to cut twice..

the cuts in the bumper will have to be symetrical either way. then I'll try and line up the backbox to suit.

anyway if I make a bags of it it doesn't matter, the imminent DC rear bumper will cover any mistakes!

I'm with Muad, wait til it gets here.
I did mine recently. The drivers side fitted fine, no cutting required. I then cut the same size/shape out of the other side, but basing it on the position of the new pipes. I couldn't tell you if its perfectly symmetric about the centre, but it looks perfect because the cut around the pipe is accurate. Put it this way, if the cut is a couple cm off symmetry about the centre its hard to spot, if its a couple cm off the centre of the pipes, you'll spot it right away.
As for the delivery, I'd say thursday latest. :)

Its not a difficult job - take a cardboard template from one side and draw it out on the other side at the same spot. Err on the side of caution - better to cut out too little than too much.

Any excuse to put up a picture of my sexy ex -
