Welcome along, TinTin is your man for fitting an FTO engine into a colt.

As for parts, contact Rory (steelroe) he always has a few breakers on the go. You'll find details on the contact page.

Hey Neil - welcome to the site.

As myfeckin' pointed out unless you're REALLY attached to the idea of having a nutter colt :-) it might be handier picking up a whole gpx :-)

Rory (SteelRoe) is local the man for parts - but you should also check out Camskill, RiceRocket and HMSbikes..

Use the search function and you'll find their details...alse the services section on the main page has valuable contact info..

Personally I'd looove to see a Colt with a proper sized Mivec lump in it like a super cyborg :-) - would be alot of fun to drive if the setup is done right.

Greetings.
I do find the concept of this converion a bit odd though. I mean, for a start I'd rather a FTO mivec. I used to have a cyborg and it has a decent amount of poke in standard form, enough to give the FTO a decent run for it's money. I expect the V6 6a12 is considerably heavier than the 4g92 unit, so the power to weight increase would be mariginal i'd say. Not enough to justify the conversion anyway.
If it was my sleeper project I'd be fitting a lancer evo engine, sure that's a simplier fit as the stock lancer and colt running gear is the same.
IIRC correctly there was a guy on IMOC ages ago selling a colt van with and evo engine -serious sleeper 8)

PS. Do you have a corolla also?

thank you everyone for the welcomes and help.

@Myfeckin FTO; easy aint always fun :P

@ Mustang: If i had a cyborg i doubt i'd want to change the engine either, like you said the weight increase is hard to justify. My car is a 1.3 CJ4A colt and a mivec colt would definatly be a better base but im in college at the moment and have to stay with the economical 1.3 for the obvious reasons. For the next few years im gonna be picking up parts etc and getting my handling and brake setup up to scratch.
The evo conversion is by no means a simplier fit, for starters that much power running to the front wheels is rediculous, a 4wheel drive system is the only option IMO and the cost of the conversion is hard to justify.
That colt van your talking about is for sale once again but has had a lot of time and money spent on it since, its now a car, Here is a link to the sale
