Only 95 Octane in Limerick

Postby Dean » Sat Jun 11, 2005 3:07 pm

Just spent half today driving around looking for 97 or 98 octane fuel.

All of the texaco garages have stopped selling it as of two weeks ago, and no other stations in Limerick have the higher octane either.

All the pumps are cable-tied up. Doing my head in, ended up filling it up with shell v-power. But its still 95.

Don't worry - I'm running on Shell or BP 93!

I've tried about 40litres of racing fuel @ 102.6 octane and felt very little difference if any so I don't think it'll make a difference if you running 95oct.

The fto can handle 95 octane... i'm guessing 95 % of the owners here use that i don't really see the benifits of the 98 ron myself not for the price difference anyway.
