Cheap alternative to braided brake hoses

Its a good idea and I can see how it might work but I'm not totally convinced of the safety aspects...

What safety aspects ?? This is basically strengthening the brake hoses and is much safer than the raw hoses alone.

I actually think its a good idea myself but trying to improve the braking system with unconventional methods is dicing with trouble if you ask me...

Sounds interesting alright... however two points:

1. Why would the hose be spongy by design unless there was a good reason ( a form of pressure regulation, for example)
2. What would an insurance company say when you have a crash and they saw that going into your brakes?
