FTO on TV !

Postby mark » Tue Jan 20, 2004 2:31 pm

As anyone seen that ad on TV lately with the grey FTO. Its about parking on footpaths or something. I think they called it a 'babe magnet' !
If you interested, i'm pretty sure it's a Tip GR as I looked at that one with 15's about six months ago in Phoenix Pk Motors. Glad to see that someone removed the 20 or so stickers off the boot!

Somebody mentioned this to me today, what station was it on Mark?
If someone could get it on video, we could put it up on the site, after all, the FTO doesn't manage to get itself onto Irish television all that often!

I saw one on the TV a few months back on Men and Moters. It was more to do with the men side of things as opposed to the moters side as there was a model flashin out the window :D I was just going on to the sci-fi channel (Next one up from M&M) at the time when I saw the FTO and said I'll watch this for a bit. The the model started doing her thing  Well the girlfriend was not impressed at all.

Meh, what are you going to do!!! 8)

Saw it last night - it's quite a poor add. As if anyone would actually park the way they have left this car !! Still, would be good to get it on video and saved for poterity on the site.

Yea it would be good but you would really have to set up the vcr to be constantly recording all day to catch it. either that or contact the company who made it and ask them to send out a copy.

Courtesy of Speedyboy, heres two snapshots from the ad. And I thought I was bad at parking....

Don't recognise the exhaust, it looks aftermarket. I wouldn't be mad on the black rims, depends on personal taste though. Overall its not a good advert for the FTO if you ask me!

No its not a good example of an FTO, Ive seen cars that look well with darker wheels like the elise's with charcoal coloured wheels. Like this one
http://www.gt-classics.com/jpg/motorsport0004.jpg but on that FTO unfortunately they dont.

Unfortunately the exhaust sticks out too far too :-(
