Postby cullen5998 » Thu Nov 05, 2009 10:21 pm

Name your favourite thing about your Fto or Fto's in general

My favourite thing is hitting 5500RPM and hearing and feeling the MIVEC kick in :D

Only one thing, god, its a toss up between hitting Mi-Vec, my exhaust sound, my ultra-comfortable seats, looks it get in driving or a par park and walking up to it knowing its mine, and driving in convoy.

Get used to it, I still get it (up till last time I saw it anyway) after 3 years 3 months.
Leaving it behind me at the airport was heartbreaking though, knowing I wouldn't drive it for god knows how long again, but someday again I'll get back to her.

Well I never drove that car over 5000 revs so I don't know what the mivec is like... (careful, cullen is watchin... )
One of my favorite things was driving in convoy. Great laugh and the looks you'd get going through little villages and towns, kids waving and everything!

Without sounding too soppy, I think one of the best things about FTO ownership is our club.
All the advice, money saving tips and of course the meets.

Aww. :smt061

No actually you're right though Bernard, that's prob one of the big things on my list too. Even the knowledge you'd pick up, and being able to actually diagnose the problems yourself from reading others past experiences, etc. And the meets are always good craic. Must say I've made some good friends off it.
Well said Bernard. :ll

Yip - For me the best thing has always been the meets and the convoys. Hence why even though my last two cars where Zeds I still look forward to the FTO Ireland meets. Trips like the last Kinvara meet, trip to Wicklow, Kenmare tunnel run meet and quite a few others really stand out as great craic weekends. The overnights are always the best craic.

I love the look of it I suppose. Makes me smile knowing its mine :D
There's so many great things about the car it hard to pick one thing. Look, sound, feel, handling, mivec. The club and the meets are class too :D
Probably the best thing I ever bought!

Reading this older post i must say my favourite 'part' of my FTO is the two bulges on the wings,it sets it apart from many coupes (i think it must relate to breasts)..the best thing i ever did in my car was ... (now now its not going that way) was a few days after bringing my car home in the summer a wee boy in the street asked if his pal and him could have a shot, being only around ten years each i presumed he meant as passengers so i put both in the back and my wee boy in the front, then gave it some Mivec up the back road.
Back i went to the same point only to be met with at least 12 kids all wanting a 'shot' and i didnt want to leave one single kid out so after 2 hours of Mivecing and an extra £20 worth of fuel i got them all and they all wave now as i drive past...the power of the FTO eh?...my baby awwwww..

The ultraquick handling, driving it through mountain roads is so fun,and no need to drift like in the anime initial D lol because the handling is so good that you can take curves quickly :D
Ah,and the look of the car, thats what made me buy mine, super sexy! lol
I'm spanish, sorry if my english is so poor,i learned it at school when i was a kid and i forgot almost all of it lol

Only bought my first FTO on Wednesday, and have since took her cross country, im pleasently surprised by the FTO's responsiveness and road presence. Typical Mitsubishi handling so im not surprised by its reliability on the bends :nwor

All round great car and i cant get enough of driving it, its my 5th Mitsubishi but 1st FTO, no looking back :smt007
