chirping noise from the passenger side

Postby giuanz » Tue Dec 16, 2008 10:31 am

Hi,

I guess "chirping" is the best description in English. Yeah really like a cricket :)
It usually lasts around half a second, sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less. It happens at random intervals, e.g. sometimes you get two in a row within 3 seconds, sometimes you hear none for one hour.
It comes from around the passenger side.

Maybe a faulty relay?

Anyone sitting in the passenger seat at the time?

Might be the blower, found sometimes if I had the aircon turned off it would start clicking on at the passenger side until I turned the the aircon on again.

Does it happen when stationary? Does the sound eminate from inside the car?

I would say its your bearings on the wheel to be honest, when that first starts to go it sounds like a bird outside the window. No joke! If it only happens when turning the car a certain way then its def the bearing.

I think you're right, it might be the blower, thanks for the hint!
I'm not in Cork now, I'll check it when I can drive it again...
