I'm in Germany at the moment, going home Sunday (if I put a z instead of a y thats the reason  ) and have been surprised by how aggressive the German drivers are, don't remember them being like that years ago when I was here.

Seeing some crazy dangerous stuff right in front of me today, a few guys so nearly came a cropper, cars have cut in front of me when there physically wasn't space to do so (Skoda Roomster, good brakes! ), driving up to a car's boot while doing about 20 mph more than the front car... list goes on and on.

Started me thinking whether other countries are as bad or worse? I've heard the Italians are nuts, India supposed to be a pure free for all. What other countries have seriously aggressive drivers as the norm?

Yep, the Italians have there own driving style altight! I was in China a few years back and couldn't believe the driving style, the roads are choatic to say the least, drivers have no regard for traffic signals and generally just drive all over the road. 90,000 people were killed on Chinas roads last year, can you believe it?!

If ye think Italy is bad ye should try drive in Sicily - they're nuts.

But the worst country for me has to be Eygpt - 60 times the per capita roads death rate of ireland. Absolutely suicidal. No rules as far as I could see the last time i hired a Jeep there.

80% of the drivers don't turn their lights on at night (I asked - apparently it burns out the light-bulbs) - a 2 lane carriageway could have 5 lanes of cars abreast all bowing the horns at each other - no observation of one way systems or traffic lights.
