When using the sandpaper, did you go horizontal-vertical-horizontal etc or did ye just do it in a circular motion? I read somewhere that a horizontal/vertical method is better but that was for a BMW and obviously a different shaped lense...

your bang on there,i used the horizontal vertical horizontal method as described in the BMW link.
will try and get a better finish on them tomorrow

i was looking for new lights..... it failed the nct over the lights being scruffed...all do they are bad.... gona give it a go doing it this way... thanx.... and will stick sum pics up !!!!! this site is amazing !!!!
