Does ABS come as standard in the GR model or is it an optional extra? Was looking in the engine bay at the weekend, and noticed that the diodes for the ABS system were missing...

ABS wasn't standard on any FTO model (AFAIK), it was an optional extra and is more commonly seen on 97+ models.
