Caliper

Postby iwannafto » Fri Jul 07, 2006 4:50 pm

I'm looking for a front left brake caliper for a '97 GX. I'd appreicate some advice as to where I could pick one up as Paul Nolan said he'd do the necessary if I source the part.

Does the GX have the same caliper as the GR or the GPX, i.e single or twin pot

Believe its only the Mivecs that get twin pot calipers. So it would have same single pot set-up as the GS and GR.

According to Camskill its the same as the GR/GS. Just double check though, upgrading the front calipers is a popular thing to do (done it myself) so just in case someone that done that on yours take a look and see whats on the car.

pm sent.

Very easy mod, just need to change the brackets at the rear and the calipers, then fit GPX discs and pads.

I got one from Camskills and Paul changed it for me. It's a swap part as they refurbish them so I sent the old one back to them.

Camskills are very quick but the carriage on it is a lot as it is a big lump of metal.
