Think I saw this car in Harolds Cross & the dealer was well dodgy & the car didn't seem to be in great shape. Think that you can get a lot more value for your hard-earned dosh than buying that FTO if it's the same one I saw  Good luck finding your FTO!

No NCT is never a good sign, and with no tax you'd want to watch that you don't get caught paying back tax on it.

I don't know anything about this car, but I would be VERY surprised if you can get a max power show mag winning car for 6.9k!!! There's a show car PT FTO pointed out for about 16k (+vrt) on ebay.

If you want to look closer, get it checked out by someone who knows what to look for, AA inspection or something like that.

If it came yellow from the factory though it's probably the limited edition they did for winning Jap car of the year in 94/95.

You are referring to the car in TH motors correct? Looks ok in the photos and it's a good price. But this car has been for sale for ages, and was previouslu ~6k as you can see from the photo. If he can't shift it at 4.5k I'd imagine this car is in a poor state.

Peviously advertised (at a whopping) €8750 if it's the same car

My advice would be to keep looking - or wait for one of the forum cars to come up for sale - there may be a couple still around - see following post - http://www.fto-ireland.com/forum/phpBB2 ... php?t=2165

Daz was also talking about selling one of his babies.

As I said, I don't know the car, but try to get as comprehensive a list of mods & specs on the car as you can from whoever's selling it. If it is a max power show winning car there'd have to be some pretty good mods on there I'd imagine.

It would probably be worth getting a professional inspection done to see what problems are on it too, it costs a few quid but saves you from buying a bad car that'll cost you a lot more later on.

That car was in TH Motors when I was looking for an FTO and that was over a year ago. I rang the sales office and said i was on my way down to look at car, when i got there, they had gone, only the mechanics were there and they had very little english.

th motors  , the guy would try to sell oil to the arabs, Arthur Daley hasnt got a patch on him, me and a friend went down on seperate occasions less than 24 hours apart, to see an evo5 he had,

we were given two totally different stories about the history and how he came to have it there , told me car it was there 3 months, wanted 21,000. told my friend he only got it that week in a trade-in and wanted 23,500, but i know for a fact car was avertised for over 4/5 months at least.
