Puncture-would die if I had to buy new rubber-please help

Postby Muad_dib77 » Fri Feb 24, 2006 12:14 pm

Talk about rubbish timing!

I'm looking to get rubber on my 18s and one of my stadard tires packs it in.. I knew it was on it's last "legs" but I honestly thought it's hold up untill I gotten the 18s sorted.

Last night driving home from work - turning in to the estate car wag'ed it's tail - I though..hold on...that's not right...(I was in 1st - starting from a standstill)..Imeddiately afterwards car just didn't handle and it was just plain wrong..

Rear Passenger side was flat as a pancake.. p1ssing rain - cold - dark - windy... pure misery really.

It would absolutely kill me if I had to go get a new tyre to stick on there.. and only use for an absolute max of 2months. (18s are going on!).

If you have 1std alloy with some rubber on - I don't care about brand - all I ask is that it's not punctured and it'll last me 2months. Please get in touch.

The Rim my wornout tyre is on is grubby but in v.good condition - so it would be possible for me to do a alloy swap..

I'm in the Blachardstown area - but pretty much anywhere in the Dublin region would be good...(Drogheda/Navan is also good!)

Just got in touch with RiceRocket.. apparently estimated shipping time from UK->IRL is 3-5 days..so I'm hoping that It'd be safe enough to drive around on the poxy spare till then...

Any idea what the speed rating on those yokes are? I didn't go any faster than 50mph (80kmph) on my way in this morning... Felt like I should be wearing a cardigan and a soft hat.. Even vans overtook me..

Felt like I was dying inside..
..trying no to think about it now..

I just got a new exhaust from Ricerocketuk. Ordered at 11:00 on Monday. New exhaust arrived at my hall door at 16:00 Tuesday. Now that's what I call service with a smile. :)

Wow..that's VERY good!

Hopefully my gear will arrive as fast.. Will have to pick up some spring compressors over the weekend...otherwise It'll be very difficult to fit those lowering springs..
