Lowering My fto GPX, need advice

Postby bigdane1390 » Mon Nov 08, 2010 9:22 pm

Hi, iv just joined as i have recently just bought a fto gpx 1995 (my first) and i love it.

But im thinkin about lowering it. i know i can just buy springs and put them in but i heard that its bad for your original shocks and that they last barely any time at all. and this is where i need help. can anyone direct me to where i can find propper fitting shocks and springs and how much monies im lookin at havin to spend. i want to lower the front around 35ml and the back 25ml.

Thanks,
( sorry if this question has already been asked )

Apex springs give the nicest looking drop IMO.

Worry about the shocks IF they wear out.

i lowered mine 3 years ago on origional standard shocks with apex springs any they still working fine. would be a good idea to change as many bushes as possable when doing this as it will save time later having to strip it all down again. and get a strut brace, still the best mod you can do to ya pride n joy

Camskill.co.uk have all the parts you need and are priced fairly good.
Have a look through the forums as you get good guides etc. As a certain person says "search is your friend".
