installing coilovers help!!

im fitting coilovers into my car ,they are coming out of a fto, so is it pretty straight forward??
was looking at colm's guide and he makes it look so easy removing springs, and can i put the shocks and springs off my gpx into the gx, just so as the car can still stand as i wont be driving it??
...Me fail english?..Thats unpossible.....

If you follows Colms guide, yes.

do i preload the springs on the coilovers before i remove them from the broken car or remove them as is??
plus has anyone any c spanners. i take it i need the exact set for the coilovers i have or are they more universal fitment??

Generally speaking, no preloading required if you're simply swapping them into another FTO. If you need to adjust them, ideally, you need the right C-spanners but you might get away with using a wrench and a screwdriver, approach with care so as not to damage anything.

I have a set of spanners for Tein coilovers, if they're any use to you you're welcome to use them.

will there be any compression on the springs ??? thats why i was wondering if i preload them.

If you want to be playing it safe get a pair of spring compressers from halfrauds or motor factors... a set will prolly cost you 15-25 squids...

must do that so... was looking at few videos youtube , really looks straight forward, especially with the help of colm's video too
