Better wipers

Postby stevec » Wed Aug 22, 2007 1:12 pm

Wipers
At 100kph or motorway speeds the wipers tend to "skip" or "jump" a lot leaving lines in the field of view.
Was in Halfrauds last week looking at upgrading but I wasn't sure about how good any of them were. Ended up just buying blade refills as they were needed anyway.

One of the things was like a clip-on spoiler to hold down the wiper - looked a bit furry dice tho'.
They also had hi-tec flat blades like these.

Has anyone got experience or can recommend better blades?

The PIAA wipers are the best I've ever had on a car - quite expensive though.

Ditto, well worth putting them on the FTO. That reminds me, I must replace my current set of PIAAs...

You'll need a 20 and a 21 inch for the front - both avail from Camskill at
approx €21 each - not cheap - but once you've siliconed up your windscreen you'll wonder why you ever bothered with crap wipers. A nice present to yourself facing into an Irish winter.
