Belts and Tappets

Postby Garsa1 » Fri Mar 28, 2008 12:39 pm

Hey all..

Have a tough decision to make on my 96 GR soon, the tappets are really starting to do my head in and are nosier than ever, and dont quite down after the engine is warn And i'm at the millage where my belt needs doing... So its going to cost..

Any ideas how much this will costs?

If its the front tappets (which I think it is) are these easy to do yourself?

the tappets are easy to do if your competent. Think camskill.co.uk have ongoing deals on a complete set of replacements for the GR. bought the toolto do mine (gpx) and also new gaskets, dunno when I'll get a chance to do it yet. flat out in work. argh..
