HELP!!!! Mitsubishi Motors Oil Temp Gauge sender unit needed

I am currently in the process of getting my FTO up to scratch before putting on the road.

When i stripped the centre console out to replace the heater matrix, i found 2 mitsubishi gauges lying there! One was the vac gauge and the other an oil temperature gauge. The vac gauge works fine, but the oil gauge didnt show a reading. I was aware these are quite rare gauges so i decided to fit them as i thought they are quite a nice touch.

I borrowed a decade resistance box from work yesterday and connected across the sensor input on the gauge connector. The gauge worked fine but it has a strange working range compared to all the other temperature sender units out there. The working range is as follows:

Does anyone know the manufacturer of the gauge or a suitable sender unit thats available?
