EOI: Anyone interested in some dials?

Hey, I decided a while ago I wanted to change my dials as the factory ones are a bit dull to say the least! Having looked around though I found your pretty limited in options and I couldn’t find anything to match what I had in mind. So I designed my own, I’m pretty pleased with the result, just thought I’d post up here to see if anyone’s interested and if theres a few interested I’ll produce some more.
The speedo and tacho fit over the existing ones (unless you wana remove the old ones!) and the rest of the dials replace the originals. It’d come with step-by-step fitting instructions, although as most of you prob know, it isn’t hard. If you don’t like blue you can change it to the colour of your choice or to match your interior. Can also have your own logo beneath the LCD readout, or even the FTO Ireland logo (if that’s OK with admin )
Also comes with 14 LEDs to replace the original warning lamp leds to produce a more vivid colour at night.

Irish speed limits changed over to kmph in 05, they'd need to be in kmph for irish market.

Are these EL or backlit?
Have you any pics of them at night?

you know.. they dont look half bad at all.

Can you do different fonts and stuff, perhaps even different dial colors?

Also, what sort of material are they printed on?

Gd point, thanks colm. Should be able to do sets with kph as well as mph no bother. They're backlit, but as the originals use clear LEDs with a colour filter on the back of the dials themselves, these come with the appropriate colored LEDs, so it's just twist the old clear one out, twist the new colored led in. Havent had a chance to get a picture at night, im in work til 11 so i'll to get a pic when i get home. If theres anything else I've missed, let me

Thanks very much maud, appreciated! I was pretty pleased with how they came out. Yeh diff colours, fonts, sizes, whatever u want to suit Ur taste/car really. Dial colour could be a bit more tricky but I'm sure it's overcome-able! Theyre on a sort of light card material with a glossy finish

Good job, they look well. If I didnt have a set I was happy with I'd be interested. But mine are a bit personalized too, one says FTO, the other says 'something else AWD', I think there was a communication problem when they were printed.

"On one side I want it to say FTO, and the other......something else.....AWD."

(Don't ask why AWD, I don't know either.)

Might be worth looking into. Not to take away from your doing something great.
I'd just have reservations about the light spotting created by leds

I looked into printing on el sheets but I was unfortunately it wouldn't be cost effective, it would be cheaper to just buy el dials already made up. For me I'd rather have my dials unique and matching my car than the standard el dials Which is why I made them up in the first place. I still haven't got the pictures at night, I will do my best to get some this evening! But id say if u want el dials your best bet is to buy el dials, and if anyone fancys my dials, let me know what colours/ fonts your after and I'll see what I can do! And night pictures will hopefully be up tonight! Cheers
