If the GPX tip is supposed to do 0-60 in 6.8, how's the manual supposed to fare? I've never seen it mentioned anywhere.

The GPX MANUAL is circa 6.8-7.1 secs for 0-60. The GPX Tip would be likely to be the best part of 1 second slower to 60.
My GPX manual was timed at 6.48secs for 0-60 during a 1/4 mile sprint albeit it was running quite light (stripped). It doesn't help that I had to change into 3rd just before 60 - if I let it bounce off the limiter in 2nd I would see 60 quicker but it would have cost me on my overall 1/4 mile time. Traction off the line is your enemy in the FTO - you just can't launch at more than 3000RPM without getting a load of wheelspin. 1st and 2nd gear is a battle to control wheelspin - you need to be slightly wheelspinning to get the best time - too much and it'll be quite slow.
