You hearing stories that peeps are getting stopped with the non-irish plates as well?

See the ultimate plan is to gut the car and use it for parts- which means paying the VRT would significantly up the cost of the parts.. hence the "trying to push it a wee bit".

registering a car that you intend to brake would be complete madness. Maud what are you thinking :smt017

I need to drive it for a bit - as I'm short of transportation..

then I'm breaking it.

I'd hate to have to Register it...

Depending on what the car's worth (I'm guessing not a huge amount if you're breaking it) and what length of time you'll be driving it, it might be worth the risk of getting caught by a garda who's having a bad day and having it confiscated?
Not that I'd condone that kind of behaviour.

More to the point have you gotten permission from the boss, before you go breaking a car :smt079

I'd say I paid less than what it's actually worth.. but the right price for the parts I want..

and yes mustang.. The boss sighed when I presented my plan of action..shrugged and shook her head...

In Danish that means.."Yes, I'm delighted that you're going doing all this mad stuff!"..

;-)

heh.

guys, dunno how's it in other towns but in Cork I'm getting stopped quite a lot recently, if compared to previous years.

In one month, twice in the model farm road and once in the north ring road. All they look at is my discs.

Didn't happen at all with my previous punto - guess they stop me because they want to admire the FTO :)
