alarm and central locking dead

hey every1
problem wit my baby and im in need of sum help,
last friday my central locking gave up it was gettin sticky lately but wud work grand most of the time,
i checked out other messages and uve said sumthing bout cleaning a motor behind the door panel will i do this???
also my alarm is not activating when i press the button is this 2 do wit the central locking aswell??

Apparently with the lock motor (and I've only found this out in the last few days) is that there is a 'thyristor' I think its called which wears out. What it does is prevents constant power going to the motor and burning it out but you can get away with bypassing it (allegedly) - check out this page on ftooc.org.

oh ya, the alarm, no idea, probably depends on the make of alarm, maybe when the door isn't locking it's picking up on it? :?

had same problem with my alarm recently , totally dead . found a bad earth was the problem.bad earth could be the problem with doors also.good luck
