This is the lock I bought for my car in Argos just before I got my alarm installed. Looks like a funy futuristic guitar!

You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

INSURANCE OR LET THEM OFF WITH IT?

Postby alloywheelsinternational » Sun Nov 20, 2005 12:04 am

RIGHT I NOW HAVE A DILEMMA.
now question is.
apparantly approx £700 will get the FTO back on the road that is fixing the rear quarter and all the theft attempt damage so i am wondering insurance or not.???
i will explain for anyone who hasnt read the whole thread. if i dont use the insurance for the rear quarter this then means the immigrant who hit me will get off scott free,
(immigrant hit me admitted liability at side of road and then told insurance company was not his fault!)
he did not want to even pay anything towards the repair all he said ws put through insurance. he has now told his insurance it was not his fault so it will be an ongoing battle between my insurance and his to see who is liable.
£500 excess for my insurance
worst thing is the guy fixing car cannot even give me reciepts for any work so for insurance reasons the immigrant who hit me will get off scott free as i do not want my insurance to find out about attemted theft.
Dilema or what??
any suggestions?

2 Of my collegues have had astras - same two have blown head gaskets.. it's a very common thing t go wrong with them.

Now with regards to your damage & attempted theft you shouldn't worry about getting back at the bloke that hit your car (sh1t happens it's a fact) - even if he does act the frolicks. Sit down and work out the numbers - will your insurance go up if you claim? Hom much will it end up costing you all in all?

Then afterwards if your still upset with the bloke that hit you I'm sure there are other ways to vent the anger.

hope much more bad luck can i have!
the guy who hit me on 29th of oct has now said i hit him so wether i like it or not it is going through my insurance.
got a phone call from my insurance company stating that he has denied liability and said i hit him so therefore he will be claiming for his car to be repaired off my insurance so no matter what it has went through my insurance.
i had originally got the car left down to get totally fixed including the rear quarter and accident damage and i was quoted around £700 so then the insurance said i take it you need an assessor to come out and look at the damage not even knowing about the thieft. i told them i had it fixed and all. so now i just await the outcome.
FFS. HOW BAD CAN IT GET!!!

Ah B0ll0x!
No body deserves that much bad luck!
I take it you have this persons personal details?

You could always order him a couple of loads of gravel and stuff...Just to get some sort of retribution.

You could also start scribbeling his phone number in Pub toilets..

2 Get off call: ****** Night or day..

***No of course you shouldn't do any of the above T..it would just be plain wrong... ;-) ***
