Interior light fade out module

Postby karlf » Thu Jul 30, 2009 4:33 pm

I seen this advertisd on the FTOOC. I thought some people might be interested in it. You can connect it to your interior light so as it stays on for a few seconds and fades out. There is a video of it on youtube:

Here the link to the thread on the FTOOC:

For those that cant access FTOOC put your name down and I'll contact the seller to order on your behalf. Will need payment first though. He is offering them at £12.99 delivered in the UK so I'd reckon €15-20 delivered to Ireland would cover it. I'll get a price of him and let you know.
Its adjustable as well, you can set it to between 7-20 seconds.

My car already does this, may be something to do with the alarm thats fitted to it but Karl you have the same alarm as me Viper 680xv. You might want to double check yours save yourself the hassle of fitting this. No harm but whats the big deal anyway fto has an illuminated ring around the ignition barrel anyway that stays on for a while after you close the door.

I missed this post somehow, hence the late reply. Mines the 480xv so might be different. Still haven't fixed my rear view to see if it does, i'm free tomorrow so I'll try sort it and check.
I suggested to the guy making these that it might be a good idea to make a module that would allow a "follow you home" (thats what it was called on a punto I had) mode for your head lights. It allows you to leave your lights on for a few seconds while you open the door/walk up the drive etc. He said he'd look into it so people might be interested in that.
