Camskill delivery times/Colm's UK trip preperation

Just ordered a set of Toyo Proxs for the UK trip from Camskill.

What sort of delivery times have people got from them for tyres?, I was shocked at how quickly they delivered the Blueflames. I'm guessing I'l definitely have them by Friday?

I ordered two F1s for the trip over the weekend, I'm expecting them tomorrow... fingers crossed.

Yep, the F1 are good value at the moment, equated to €100 extra for a set over the Toyos I think, while I loved the way your GoodYears drove, they just weren't worth the extra money over the Proxes to me.

Have loads of little jobs to do on the car before the trip :smt001

My f1s came in a couple of days, but with the bank holiday this week, there may be back ups.

Sorry, having direct contact with suppliers every week has taught me otherwise :) Just be prepared, that's all.

If by "prepared" you mean travelling across the UK on not very good tyres, then, Yes - I'm prepared!

What ye doing to the cars before going over apart from the usual washing waxing and stuff?
Whats the weather like for the weekend any idea?

Apart from the usual (quick wash), I'm gonna:

1) Blow the carpets and seats with the compressor then hoover the interior
2) Fix the plug going into the subwoofer that I broke when I was doing the suspension
3) Fit the new tyres,
3) Track the car
4) Do an oil change
5) Have a proper look at the joints on the quads with a view to making them a little less noisy
6) Put some new music on my ipod
7) Redo the red tint on my rear lights

1 2 and 3 are in the bag, 4 if I have time on Thursday evening (did one 3k ago) 5 won't take too long, 6 & 7 easily done.

No point in waxing before we leave, plenty time to do that on Saturday anyhow.

Thats grand so, I'm changing oil and filters on Thursday too, got 2 new front tyres last week, just need to white wall them to match the rears, going cleaning in a big way tomorrow, I'm going to wax too but will be waxing further on the ferry or when we get there. Just want a couple of base coats down first. So I'm;

1) Wash
2) Wax x2
3) Hardener
4) Tyre whitewall
5) Polish exhaust
6) Polish alloys
7) Wax windows
8 ) Clean recaros
9) Clean seats, carpets, etc.
10) Polish dash (unsure whether to leave kevlar in or take out, prob leave in cause it took so long to do!)

I'll be bringing tyre black and stuff with me too so we can have all them at the showgrounds anyway.

I plan on giving her a good clean on Friday.
Oil flush & change along with my new tyres (and full size spare) should be done by then.

I got the oil filter at a Mitsi dealer, Ba$tard charged me 89cent for the washer!

Where do you plan on putting the spare? are you raising the boot floor?

No idea yet, I was thinking that alright but I'll have to wait and see how things fit first.

You're not exactly likely to get a puncture though, isn't a full size spare a bit overkill?

(If I get a puncture I can borrow it, right? :) )

I think itll be doing well to fit, I couldnt fit my wheel in the boot when I got a puncture before, had to put it in the back seat.

My problem is that the skinny won't fit over my brembos, so on the offchance I do get a puncture, I'd be changing two wheels.

Thats unreal, you'd nearly be waiting longer here if you ordered them over the counter and a fella went to get them from the back.
