At least now I know what I want

Postby adrian » Thu Dec 11, 2003 3:11 pm

Hi all,

Well, having read this post on the FTOOC forum as well as all your comments and my own research I have now decided on getting a GPX over a GPvR

http://www.ftooc.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=5354

I thought my FTO had NO soundproofing cause of the road noise...turns out the GPvR has even less!! Plus, with the roads I drive on I can not justify limited slip diff and less comfort over nearly identical performance, more confort and 2K cheaper. And I would miss my Air Con to be honest :r

So, still checking the auctions every day for that illusive 1998/1999 manual silver, red or black GPX!!! Bring it on!

Yeah, theres *some* soundproofing on the floors, under the rear seat, the boot and the wheel arches.

I assume you drive on decent roads as an LSD is really useful on the twisties. Still prefer the GPvR myself though ;)

No, not decent roads really but driving at speeds that would benifit from LSD would just be madness on the roads that I use going home I would imagine and around Dublin it's either the M50, M1 or slow roads round Beaumont. I don;t think I would have the surfaces to enjoy the LSD....or maybe I have it wrong...maybe you dont have to go flat out to enjoy it
