you'd have to collect it in America though. and you'd need your passenger to open the petrol tank for you.

I am a bit confused here, we all know that mitsi never made LHD FTO's, and in my opinion there is no way that is a conversion job, it just looks to factory fit. The work alone in moulding a new dash would be massive.

I'm with Rory on this one. Its a huge amount of effort to go to, and I don't think many people would do it and then leave the dash standard?
I thought first it might be just a photoshop, but looks genuine.

The dash looks exactly original so my guess is that this is just a RHD with an inverted image. Someone should contact the guy for the craic.

That was my first thought, but if you look carefully the centre console is the same way round as a RHD. You could do it with 2 photos and a bit of photoshop, but it would be very tricky.

nah, direction of mirror switch, gear shift, clocks, petrol flap release etc are all correct. I think it's genuine.
Also check out the window switch on the passenger side, it's modified to have one switch if I'm not mistaken.

I'd imagine it's not hugely difficult as the dash is pretty symetrical.

Yes correct - the internal gear is all the right way around. Also check out the leatherette seat repair on the drivers seat - this would have been the original rhd driver's seat.

Can't see why you'd swap the seats though.

Im sorry I am still not convinced. If you look at the supposed new passanger door the entire switch unit looks oem and even the colours match up.

ALl of the heater unit and aircon unit would have to be relocated.

Also why go to all that trouble and then not wove the boot and petrol cap opening unit.

If it is genuine the big up to whoever did it they must have some patience.
extending all the wires for the Speedo cluster. There are a hell of a lot of other problems that would be encountered if trying to do this. Everything just looks too seamless.

Actually, the window switch doesn't look right. it's way too curved looking, and the area where the window lock button usually is looks edited.

I doubt its a P'chop. I've seen some of the swap jobs they do in the middle east, while the work under the dash is questionable, the finish is usually excellent.

Unfortunately the current owner hasn't really done his homework on this one.

Hello,

thanks for the interest in the FTO. it is a cool car and very rare. as far as your questions...there was not a conversion done. the car came from canada already LHD. so there is no messy conversion issues. it was born that way! we bought it from a canadian customer a few weeks ago and we are still trying to smog and certify it. so as of right now there is no exact sale price and the miles are in kilometers. i apologize, but we are still trying to get this car together. it should be ready for sale within a week, i just wanted to put it out there. if you have any further questions just call or email back. thanks!

The seller seems to be a big car chain in the US.
