not sure how can you improve power in the GS

catback sistem , a decat pipe , a performance induction kit and then loose everything that's not useful in the car weight wise .

www.camskill.co.uk you should find what you need there .

BUT if you want performance i'd say to upgrade to a GR or a GPX (manuals)

Have to agree, the only way to improve performance is to bolt on a turbo, not the easiet of job considering its not a particularly tried and tested approach. If you wanted to be different, you could always dropping a Lancer GSR engine, its the same block (4G93) but again hasn't been done to my knowledge (but should be do-able).

Easiest option is to upgrade to a V6 ;)

if you cannot add more power (with cheap money ) i'd say go for the looks .

but that's a whole another THREAD ;)

she is beautiful enough :o). I would rather go for performance, maybe minor visage alterations. had her for 3 days 2day so any addresses or links for parts (I found camskills and other obvious) are needed

spend 1-2 hours here on the forum and i'm sure you can decide what and where to begin with .

plenty of mods to chose from (i.e : quad exhaust, lowering springs , carbon fibre culture ,bigger rims ,diferent bumper , HID's,strut bars, bodykits, leather interior, plasma dials ... ..) you just need to have the funds for it and free time

Best thing would be to sell up and buy a V6 now before you spend too much on upgrading the GS.
There's great value out there in GR models, and they'll have a healthy 45bhp more than your 1.8 (which is taxed as 1.9)

sounds reasonable, but I am broke right now as u can imagine, anyway this is my first fto, and it came cheap since it needs a bit of attention, perhaps I will set things right with this one sell it and then buy new one gr or mivec, dunno yet, still I love my fto and f*** power deficiency :o)

I had a GS up to a couple weeks ago, and while I feel they're very under-rated (kinda regret not giving her at least one 1/4mile run), if you are after performance, it has to be a V6.
If you want a look at what 18" rims, a quad exhaust, lowering, etc will do to a GS, here's the link to the "for sale.." of my old car.

It has already been lowered, my interior is not as stylish as yours, on the other hand I got mine for little money and I have a mechanic friend who will do all the mechanics and bodyworks for free (well, returning some favours) if I get good price for her after I do all the works I will consider buying mivec, anyway it is the next year plan, for now I am very happy with my fto, even as it is :)
crap, I had many cars but never was I in love with any of them that much, weird
