Lights question

Postby sinlessgunner » Sat Mar 15, 2008 2:49 pm

Hi guys,

Since I got my FTO I have had a problem with the dims. They're very poor and I thought maybe they were just old and needed replacing. I took the bulb to the autospares today to see about replacements and he told me it's not the bulb but he owned an FTO himself a few years ago and the lights are generally crap. He told me to replace them with HIDs or Xenon bulbs. He hadn't any in stock and other shops I was in hadn't heard of them and couldn't order them. I searched the site for answers and I see that some of you have them installed. Where do I get them? Halfords? And whats the 8000k about and numbers like that? Complete noob when it comes to headlights.......

Can the frosted bulb the dim sits into be replaced? Could that be the problem?

Right getting around to getting these now. The above items aren't available anymore. Can someone tell me if these would be worth getting?
