Hi, I'm new and have a quick (easy) question - fuse boxes

Postby Spitfire » Mon Oct 29, 2007 9:57 am

Hi there,

I just bought an FTO a week ago, and suddenly my electric mirrors have stopped working (the button that makes them fold up, not the adjuster)

Anyway i've found a couple of references to the fuse boxes, and have found that I should be looking for

INSIDE BOX

5-10A Active Side Mirror

...However, where is 'inside box?'

I've found the fuse box in the engine and the one in the footwell, and all the fuses are fine, where is this other fuse box thats talked about?

Thanks

Tony

oh my god, what a good way to introduce myself,

Bit of a stupid moment there, i actually thought that the spare fuses in the footwell was actually the fuse box, and i was lying there the other day pulling out the spare fuses and checking them.

now i've discovered that if u take the plastic cover off, thats where the real fuse box is!

Fixed it, anyhow!

LOL! That's an easy mistake to make..

Wait till your g-meter starts acting up - then you'll really be checking fuses..

The g-meter is a dash light that lights up when you brake hard or take a sharp turn. It only ever seems to work when the special g-fluid is low though.

Luckily enough it's not a hard fluid to source, not in Ireland anyway
