Hi and Welcome,

Good to see some more guys from Norn Iron, are seeing the light.

As far as importers in the Belfast area, don't think you will find one mate, there are a few in the Newry or Cookstown direction but they seem to bring in stuff that are RWD, and Iwould say grades 2&3's at the most.
I think most of the Skylines, Silvia and alike in the North at least are mostly from GB.

Ever thought about getting one from the south and importing to the north.

I'll have a look when I get home to see if I can find all the places I condered using during my 6 month search for a FTO.
Lots to think about, nothing to worry about!

Im actually moving from south to north in a month. wanted to try get a car up north and sell it on when i move back south in 12 months.
I was thinking bout powervehicles.com I know a few lads got cars through them but their expensive but you get what you pay for.

Can ya tell me bout this other test iv to get done? how much does it cost to get done?

Just wondered if you've tried the uk site, someone might have what your after.
Seen this http://www.ftooc.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=73483

It would save alot of hassle getting it imported your self, but the general rule is under 10 years old a SVA test is needed anything older an MOT will do. Thats why most fresh imports being sold by dealers are 10+.
Think the SVA costs via a dealer £250 ish, MOT,s in the North is £35 ish.
There is also the registration and customs fees (17.5%).
Rear Fog light needed to Pass MOT
Think MPH on Speedo is also needed for MOT

It's in the for sale section of this Site. Not sure if it's your cup of tea as it has 100K on her but most guys here will tell you that shouldn't be too big an issue.

Thanks for the plug ...yeah she has a good few miles on her alright but at least you can be sure the mileage is genuine (ie. it didn't come in through certain Irish importers!) Also all the expensive work that needs to get done on older FTO's has been done ...timing belt, clutch, cam box seals etc. Now she should be running sweet for many more miles ..

Glad to be of service.

Now if it was a pre-face lift 95 GPX semi-auto that was wanted then I would offer mine. FTO's don't shift too quick up this neck of the woods, mind you the smart move was to advertise on this site but If it's not advertised too well then I can't sell :D
One of these days I'm going to have to put her up on the for sale section too. :(
