neil, i seen these wheels ( 17s in white ) on a white evo 6 a few weeks ago, very nice indeed, wud look the biz on me white gpx :D.

have you tried Proparts in fairview, usual good and very competitive. if all else fails try halfords, they wont have them in stock, but might be able to get them in, they got me a lovely set of RAZO, adjustable pedals for me gpx.

question...

Postby Neil » Wed Apr 20, 2005 7:07 pm

cheers lads, found a uk supplier for them but he only had 3 (!), so hes going to get me a 4th one france... nice one heh

only thing is he says the front 2 are 7" wide and the back 2 will be 7.5" wide... does that make sense to any of you? if its alright then i'll go for it because the price is better than performancealloys aswell, but if its just that yer man is getting a 4th wheel in 7.5 width from france so that he can get rid of the other 7.5 he must have hanging around, then i'll leave it and keep shopping...

also ive already got toyo tyres in 215/40/17, so anyone with the same tyre size know how will they look with the 7.5 width wheel??
bare in mind the car will be lowered on apex springs aswell so i want to avoid rubbing too...

should i wait and find them in 17x7, or am i fussing about nothing?

17x 7.5s would look better on back, these should fill out width of arch much better, im going to go for 225s on back and 215s on front

Isn't there a risk of upsetting the car's balance if you fit larger width wheels/tyres at the rear compared to at the front? I'd do a search on ftooc.org to see if anyone's already done this and if they hit any problems.

this shouldnt make much ( if any ) difference to the cars driving characteristics, but will definitely enhance that big rear wheel arch :D
